Former Hedrick
Resident Dies
Ralph Reno, 92, formerly of Hedrick, died Jan. 26, 1999 at Ottumwa Manor.
He was born June 4, 1906 in Agency, the son of Roy and Grace Anna Gilbert Reno. He married Marguerite Laurberg on Dec. 31, 1929 in Rockford, Ill. He moved to Ottumwa in 1972, then Hedrick in 1988. He worked at John Morrell and Company a few years before he began farming near Agency and later near Highland Center.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Norman of Iona, Idaho; two daughters, Jacqueline Breon of Hedrick and Mary Sperring of Sumner, Wash.; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Peter; three brothers, Ray, Roy and Leonard and a sister, Myrtle Funk.
