Irma was killed in a car accident at an intersection 4 miles west of Carmel Indiana. Cause of death was a fractured skull and she died instantly. Her parents were William Maley Knight and Effie Ethel Bain. Her husband Homer Cleveland Wheeler passed away in 1932 and they had 9 children (Mabel, Roy, Ethel, Frank, Geraldine, Homer, Howard, Anna & Marjorie). Her granddaughter Mary Jane affectionately called her MOM because she spent so much time with her and felt her love so strongly.
