Sudden death Monday morning of about 60-year old Christian Hansen who lived on a farm on River Road in Town Manitowoc Rapids. He was in good health Monday morning when he left for his day's work. He had started work with a lawn mower when he fell ill, sat down on a nearby bench, and died there before help could be summoned. A heart attack had claimed his life.
The deceased was a Civil War veteran who served with the 15th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment and was a member of the local G.A.R. Post.
He is survived by a daughter.
