Everett Jasper Chamblee, 83, of Rome, Ga., died April 6, 2013. Mr. Chamblee was a Veteran, having served in Korea, for which he received the Purple Heart and three Bronze Stars. He was a member of Garden Lakes Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Minnie Chamblee; sisters, Artie Hammock and Opal Vaughn; and brothers, L.D., Archie and Arvil Chamblee. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Phillips Chamblee; sons, Phillip and Todd Chamblee; grandchildren; brother, Vondell Chamblee; sister, Alcy Simonetti, and other family.
