Dean E. Wolfe, 82, formerly of New London, Bonaparte and Branson, MO died at 4:05 A.M. Saturday April 6, 2013 at Donnellson Health Center where he had resided since June, 2012. He was born Dec. 12, 1930 at Mt. Sterling to Leonard and Dorotha Evans Wolfe and married Donna J. Noske Jan. 12, 1952 in Keosauqua. Dean graduated from Cantril High School, served in the U. S. Army in Germany during the Korean War, had farmed, worked at White's Store in Bonaparte, as a custodian at Harmony Schools and retired from Blue-Bird Bus Mfg. Co., Mt. Pleasant. He was a member of Sargeant-Osweiler Post No. 563 American Legion Bonaparte, served many years on the Bonaparte Fire Department and had coached Little League Baseball and Men's Softball in Bonaparte.
Surviving are his wife of Donnellson Health Center, a son, Russell Wolfe (Denise) of Mt. Pleasant, a daughter, Dorotha Feuerborn (Robert) of Rockaway Beach, MO, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Martha Glaha of Keosauqua.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Lee Wolfe.
Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Tuesday April 9, 2013 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, Pastor Larry Wallingford officiating. Visitation will be open 2-5 P.M. Monday at the funeral home with family present from 10 -11 A.M. Tuesday prior to the service. Burial with military rites by Sargeant Osweiler Post will be in Bonaparte Cemetery. Memorials to Bonaparte First Responders may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 1005 East Oak Brook Place, Mt. Pleasant, IA 52
