Martha Anne Mary Alvina Schonschack born February 28, 1879, was the daughter of the married couple, Carl August, Jr., and Whilhemina (Gutzke) Schonschack. She had 11 brothers and sisters:Eduard Julius, Wilhemine, William Carl (Louise Miller), Ida, Teresa (#1McCleary #2Boyland #3Pethick), Frederick Alfred (Verone Miller), Henry Charles (#1Roberts) (#2Dohlan) (#3Bladder), George C. (Dorothy Fountain), Benjamin (Elizabeth Meldrum), Walter A. (Catherine Bosserdet), Clara Christina (#1Vance #2Snyder).
Martha married Henry John Heft on June 5, 1901 at the home of her parents "Spruces Roost", in Plymouth, Michigan by Pastor F. Beckwith with witnesses: Tracy Heft, Will and Teresa Schonschack.
Henry John Heft was the son of the married couple, John Henry and Augusta (Meier) Heft. Henry John was born August 28, 1884 in Michigan. He grew up in Monguagon and Ecorse, Michigan with his siblings, Adoph Edward, Paul Peter, Rudolph Henry, Emma Marie, William John, Carolina Tracie and Carl Friedrich.
Henry and Martha's first home was in Wyandotte, Michigan where their first and only child, Lillian Teresa, was born on January 9, 1903. Later they build a large duplex home on Forest Street in Wyandotte, Michigan.
In her adult years Martha was head buyer of lace for Hunter & Hunter and was called "Sunshine Molly".
Henry died of heart disease February 11, 1933 at 59 years old. Martha followed on March 31, 1970 at 91 years old. They rest together in Bloomdale Cemetery in Trenton, Michigan.
