Creal Springs – Loren "Pappy" Norris, 80, died at 9:55 am Sunday, February 21, 1993 at Marion Memorial Hospital. Funeral home is Meredith and burial, with military rites will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. He had worked for the New Norris Coal Co. at Paulton and later was a truck driver. He retired in 1972. He was a member of the American Legion, Teamsters and was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was born September 20, 1912 in Marion to William Edward and E. May Rentfro Norris. Survivors include three daughters, Doris Bridges and Mary Lou Marks of Marion and Brenda K. Marks of Creal Springs, son Eddie Dean Norris of Anacoco LA, 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Wilma Conley of Marion and Juanita Triplett of Herrin. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Virginia Davis and one granddaughter.
