Aneska Johana Elles Frantis

Mrs Aneska J. Frantis, 72, died at 8:50 a.m. at 1312 North 5th in Waco.

She was born in Hostalkova, Moravia. She is the widow of Antone Frantis who preceded her in death on September 7, 1941 in Houston, Texas, at Jefferson Davis Hospital. They had no children.

Some time before her death she became blind and was taken to a rest home in Waco, Texas. During this time her friend, Marie Bezdek, provided much comfort to her.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 1950 at the Catholic Church in West, Father E.J. Polcak officiating, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in West, Texas.

Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold's Chapel.

Johanna arrived in the United States with her brother, Tom Elles, who took care of her, as she had a problem with one of her legs.

Johana married Antone Frantis on October 16, 1893 in Falls, Texas.

In 1906 they were in Bell County living near Temple, Texas. They also lived in West, Texas. She and her husband, Antone, lived in LaGrange, Texas for many years.
