Was Highly Respected - Succumbs to Hemhorrage of Brain
Mrs. Mattie E. Bruning, aged 59 years, died at her home in Colfax Tuesday afternoon, death following hemorrhage of the brain, with which she was stricken on Thursday. Mrs. Bruning is survived by her husband, F.L. Bruning, three sons, Lewis L., Clarence A., and Morris F., and one daughter, Olive Fay Bruning, the family all being present at time of death.
Relatives surviving in the east are her mother, aged 87 years, four brothers and one sister. Ex-Congressman J. Adam Bede of Minnesota is a brother. He was here two weeks ago, while on his lecturing tour, and saw his sister and family. Funeral services will be held from the M.E. Church Sunday at 2 p.m., Rev. J.H. Bainton Officiating.
