Jessie Harris McCray Gibson, of Parkersburg, passed away March 31, 2006 at her residence in Vienna. She was born in Parkersburg a daughter of the late William "Babe" McCray and Bonnie B. Wright McCray. She was a Homemaker and Artist.
Survivors include: four sons, Bernard E. "Pete" Gibson & wife Suzy of Melbourne, FL, Blake M. Gibson & wife Virginia of Peachtree, GA, Charles F. Gibson & wife Donna of Vienna, WV, and Alvin H. Jr. Gibson & wife Miral of Vienna, WV, three sisters, Fern Berardi of McConnolsville, OH, Alice Swearingen of Parkersburg, WV, and Virginia Sprout of Parkersburg, WV, eight grandchildren, Cary, Scott, Tracy, Jacob, Fred, Jesse, Evan, and Holly Gibson, seven great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Alvin Hupman Gibson Sr., four brothers, William, Paul, Jack, and Donald McCray, two infant daughters, Bonnie and Blythe Gibson.
Memorial Services will be held Monday 11:00 AM at The Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Rev. Dr. Michael C. Richards officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions maybe made in her name to The Wayside United Methodist Church Youth or Chancel Choir Fund 3001 Grand Central Avenue Vienna, WV 26105.
