"AHERN-- In this city, March 19, Ellen, beloved wife of Michael Ahern and mother of Sister Mary Seraphine, O. S. D.; Mrs. G. Hopkins, Mrs. M. Hoffman and Agnes and Kitty Ahern, a native of Youghal, County Cork, Ireland, aged 54 years. (Boston papers please copy.) / ** Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend the funeral to-day (Monday), at 9 o'clock a. m., from her late residence, 1820 Ellis street; thence to Holy Cross Church, where a solemn requiem mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul, commencing at 9:30 o'clock a. m. Originally buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery (SF/defunct), in a plot purchased by Michael Ahern (for Agnes Ahern). Removed & re-interred at the general reburial area of Holy Cross (H 11 58 13) on 18 Jul 1940, along with children--Agnes, Mary, JamesG & 3 others.
