Mr. Donnie Hugh Aldridge, 65 of Blackshear, passed away Monday afternoon, April 8, 2013, at the Mayo Clinic Health System – Waycross.
Born on April 20, 1947 in Blackshear, GA, he had lived in Cooper City, FL for several years before moving back to Pierce County in 1980. Mr. Aldridge was a main office installer for Lucent Technologies and attended Ward Memorial Methodist Church. Among his hobbies were fishing, which he loved, and farming.
Mr. Aldridge was a son of the late Willie Edward "Buck" & Jewell Emmie Gunter Aldridge. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Aldridge.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Gerhardt Aldridge of Blackshear; a daughter, De Anna Aldridge of Port St. Lucie, FL; a sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl & Wayne Dixon of Blackshear; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell & Margaret Aldridge, DeWayne & Lana Aldridge and Dwight & Julie Aldridge all of Blackshear; a sister-in-law, Patsy Aldridge of Blackshear; two grandchildren, Damian Hodges and Derrid Drake San Martano; and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.
