Korean War Soldier. He was a private first class in Company G of the 187th Airborne Division. He grew up in Lansdowne. He was the son of Vida and David Richardson, Sr. He educated at Lansdowne High School and joined the military. He earned his glider wings and was a paratrooper. He was killed in combat on his 11th paratrooper jump near the village of Pongyang-Ni, Korea. Anotrher Lansdowne resident, James VanderGast, who was killed the week prior to Richardson's death, served in the same company. He was the husband of Patricia Davis.
