In about 1902 Edward married Nellie Murphy. They had five children: Edward, Jr., Frank, Harold, Mildred, and Thelma. Edward worked at the Great Western Distillery and had black hair and brown eyes. By 1920 Edward and Nellie were separated, living in different houses in Peoria. The children were with Nellie. Edward moved in with his parents.
In 1921 Edward married Violet Jump. They look in a number of boarders. In 1940 he was working for the Federal Housing Project, but two years later he was unemployed.
Edward died in 1944 at age 61. His obituary, published in the Peoria Journal Star on Feb. 24, 1944, said he would be buried in the Springdale Cemetery.
