James "Jim" Harvey Brown, 66, passed away early in the morning on Monday, April 8, 2013. Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Handley Baptist Church, 6801 Church St., Fort Worth. Interment: 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Memorials: The family asks that donations be made, in lieu of flowers, on Jim's behalf to the American Heart Association . Jim was born June 9, 1946, in North Richland Hills. He was the oldest son of Stanley and Emma Jeane Brown. Jim attended Eastern Hills High School before attending a semester at Baylor University. Jim served our country in the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he continued his education at Texas Wesleyan College, graduating with a degree in accounting. He started his career at KPMG and then served many years working for the Bass Enterprises in Fort Worth. Jim was a wonderful father and grandfather. No one could ask for a better father who knew how to love his children unconditionally and without hesitation. He supported each of them in all of their endeavors. Survivors: His granddaughter, Elizabeth Anna Brown; and his daughters, Cheryl Denise Brown of Houston, Dee Anna Brown Hassanpour of Woodburn, Ore., and Julie Elizabeth Brown of Keller. He is also survived by his sister, G'Nelle Walters of Granbury; and brother, David Brown of Tulsa, Okla.
