Jack was 62 at time of death, died from leukemia, 3 years after being diagnosed. Lived in Cary, Illinois at time of death. Served in Army 1-18-1946 to 1-23-1948, at the end of World War II., served in Germany...married Roma Whitacre Sept.24, 1950, Elgin City Bus Driver 30 Years, had three children, Bonnie Yvonne Clayman (Knapp)Wichita, Kansas, born: April 8, 1951, Clifford Lee Clayman, Crystal Lake, Illinois, Born: Sept. 24th, 1953 on his third anniversary, Duane Howard Clayman, Cary, Illinois, born: March 8, 1955. Jack Clayman was adopted as baby from Jewish Orphanage in Indianapolis by Detroit, Michigan couple Samuel and Minnie Clayman, raised in Chicago. Original Birth name: Harrison Keith Baker, Birth parents: Helen Baker and Claud Miller. Hobbies: Bowling, fishing, camping, watching baseball and football. Die-hard Cub Fan and Bears Fan. Loved watching Westerns and war pictures. Favorite foods: Pizza and hamburgers and spagetti and roast beef. Never drank alcohol. Baptist. Hard worker, good provider. Was a strict, no-nonsense displinarian. Very opinionated, lifelong democrat. Demanded respect, was always right, even when he was wrong, argumentive. Law-abiding. His favorite programs was "Honeymooners" and "All In The Family." He loved John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. Though he could cuss up a storm, he was a regular Church-goer and strong believer. Suffered a lifetime of dizzy spells. Stressed out easy. Loved socializing and family functions. Enjoyed talking about his military days, very gung-ho and patriotic. Belonged to the Teamsters Union, VFW and the Moose Lodge. On his death bed, he apologised to our mom for leaving her.
