W. Bryant McCaslin who lived seven miles southwest of Perkins, was struck by lightning and killed instantly Wednesday afternoon about five o'clock. He and his wife were driving along the road when the lightning struck, killing him, dazing his wife, and left the horses lying in the road dazed, where they remained for sometime. The victim was a young man about twenty-three years old. The funeral was held at Olivet.
