She retired in 1968 as a seamstress at Regalia Manufacturing, Rock Island, after 15 years.
She was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Christian Disciples of Christ Church, Rock Island; Rock Island Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post 1303; Order of Eastern Star 269, Rock Island; Vashti Shrine 23, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem; and Amoo Caldron, Rock Island. She enjoyed sewing and playing canasta.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in law, Dorothy and Harry Boyer, Leclaire, Iowa and Carolyn and Earl Jackson, Moline; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Marie Shetler, Rock Island; 10 grandchildren; 28 Great-grandchildren 15 great great grandchildren; sisters, Mavel Shermuly, Marceline, Mo., and Cordelle Claypool, Williamsburg, Iowa; a brother, Howard Brown, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
