Dorothy Gwendolyn Anderson, age 95, went peacefully home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 30, 2006 at 8:00 PM.

She was born on March 21, 1911, on her farm in Finley, ND, the daughter of Ferdinand and Minnie (Fey) Thumm. She graduated from Finley High School in 1929, and attended Dakota Business College in Fargo. She was secretary for the Registrar of Moorhead State Teacher's College.

She married George James Anderson on December 23, 1933, in Fargo, ND.

She was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church of Fargo. She served as a Sunday School teacher and President of the Ladies Aid. She especially loved her family, enjoyed traveling, and her gardens and flowers were her pride and joy. She was the best Mom and Grandmother ever.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George and two sisters, Genevieve "Babe" Carico and Evelyn Malmin.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Marlys Hartman, and husband, Richard of Conway, AR and Darlene Christofferson and husband Bill, of Naples, FL and two sons, Jay Anderson and wife Patricia of Georgetown, TX and Arlan Anderson and wife Diane, of Kokomo, IN. She has 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and 8 step great great grandchildren.
