Gertrude M. Stevenson, 91, of Scottsbluff, died August 18, 2007 at Regional West Medical Center at Scottsbluff. Her Graveside Service will be August 24 at the West Lawn Cemetery at Gering. Gertrude was born April 5, 1916 at Baker, Montana, the daughter of Joseph Sidney and Minnie Alice(Purscell) Donbraska. She moved with her family to Nebraska in a covered wagon when she was six years old. She received her early education in Montana, Scottsbluff and Wyoming. She graduated with the Class of 1935 from the Lingle, WY. High School. Gertrude was united in marriage to Glen Altus Stevenson, May 17, 1937 at Scottsbluff. She began working in a cleaning establishment and then Terry's Café. She later worked at Terry's Pharmacy for eight years and then the Gibson Pharmacy for 13 years. She retired in 1982. After her retirement she volunteered at Regional West Medical Center.She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church at Scottsbluff where she belonged to the Bible Class and helped with Primary Class and had been a Scout Den Mother. Survivors include her son Gary Glen Stevenson and his wife Marilyn of San Francisco, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Feb. 11, 1974, infant daughter Glenda JoAnn and 15 brothers and sisters.
