Gertrude M. Douglas, age 80, widow of the late James E. Douglas Sr. entered eternal rest unexpectedly Saturday, October 27, 2012 to be with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. She was born March 20, 1932, to the late Collins Coleman Sr., and Bertha Mae Allen Coleman. She was predeceased by one son, Richard B. Douglas, three brothers, Collins Coleman Jr., Osborne Coleman and Charles W. Coleman, one sister, Mary E. Tate, two grandsons, Hussein Akram and Theodore Parker Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Seifuddin Akram Jr., of FL; two daughters, Gertrude Alease and Jean M. of Ansonia ; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Family would like to give special thanks to Davita Dialysis Center , Shelton , CT. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9AM at Williams Memorial C.O.G.I.C., 95 Bishop Williams Court , Ansonia , CT. , with Reverend Samuel Levey, officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Pine Grove Cemetery , Ansonia , CT. Friends are invited to the viewing Saturday from 8-9 AM at the church. Morton's Mortuary Inc., 25 Margaret E.
