HAMPTON - Elizabeth "Betty" Goodson Ashe, 72, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 31, 2005.
A native of Roanoke, Betty was a long time Hampton resident who taught music, tutored children and gave her life in service to the Lord through the mission work with the PBA and Ivy Memorial Baptist Church where she was a member and Sunday school teacher. A devoted, wife and mother, she delighted in the love of her grandchildren, Rebekah Rossman, Alex Potter, Cierra Brown and Nicholas Potter.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Fiske "Sonny" Ashe; daughters, Sharon Rossman and her husband, Steve, Suzanne Brown and her late husband, Darryl, Sandra Ashe and Mary Potter and her husband, Mark; brothers, Henry T. Goodson Jr. and James Donald Goodson and his wife, Charlotte.
