Funeral services were held at Van Etten Funeral Home in Orange City at 10 A.M. August 30 for Michael "Mike" Westra, 62, of Orange City, who died August 27 after suffering a heart attack at his home.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Donald Lenderink and burial was made in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City.
Mr. Westra was born at Orange City January 13, 1909. He resided in that community all his life.
For many years he was in partnership with his brother, John, in the operation of a salvage yard. He retired in 1968. Mr. Westra was a World War veteran.
Survivors besides his brother, John, of Orange City, include a sister, Mrs. Lester (Nell) Dykstra also of Orange City.
