Carrol Jeanne Schwartzkopf passed away at her home in Glenrock on Oct. 31, 2009. She was born Sept. 27, 1948 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Chalmers Anderson and Jacqueline (Luden) Anderson. She attended school kindergarten through eighth grade at Henry, Neb. Country School, then graduated from Torrington High School. In 1966, she attended college at Torrington Community College and Chadron State College. On Aug. 3, 1969, she married Jerald W. Schwartzkopf in Henry, Neb. They made their home in Casper where she was active in the Newcomers Club. They moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, in 1975-76 while her husband worked for Caterpillar Machinery Company on the Alaskan Pipe Line. They returned to Wyoming in 1976 and made their home in Glenrock, where have lived for 33 years. Carrol was active in church groups, 4-H, and Eastern Star. She worked for the Glenrock School District for the last 27.5 years, the last 20 as clerk in the Glenrock Middle School library. Carrol is survived by her husband, Jerry; son Mark Schwartzkopf of Glenrock; daughter Tonya Zegers and her husband Brian of David City, Neb.; son Trent Schwartzkopf and his wife Erica of Billings, Mont.; her mother, Jacqueline Anderson of Henry; sisters Rita Felton (Gary) of Torrington, Renee Anderson of Two Rivers, Wis.; and Yvonne Wackel (Dave) of Summerset, S.D.; and grandchildren Hannah, Ethan, Lydia, Chloe and Aden. She was preceded in death by her father, Chalmers Anderson.
