Alberta was the daughter of Samuel R. and Sarah "Sadie" Isabelle(Potter)Snyder. She was originally named Mattie Marie, but when John and Ada Snyder adopted her, they changed her name to Mattie Alberta. She married Roscoe C. Prather Sept. 4, 1907 Griswold, Iowa. Their children were: Bernice Joy, Hildred Hope, Lester Vernon, and Roscona Celia Prather. She married 2nd to Claude McDaniel Apr. 13, 1917. He died Aug. 6, 1922 in a railroad accident. Their child was Pearl Callie McDaniel b. Apr 5, 1918, d. Oct 24, 1973. Alberta married 3rd to Chester Milton Pierson around 1938.
