Timothy Reves Hine, On April 7, 2013 the physical life of Timothy Reeves Hine, 28, of Ridgefield, Connecticut drifted away from the warm embrace of his best friend and wife Jessica Hine into the arms of his Savior. Tim's death was a result of a tragic automobile accident which occurred on April 3, 2013. He was surrounded by family and friends who were united in love, faith, and prayer at Westchester Medical Center, New York. Tim and Jess shared a fourteen year love of life together which found them out in nature, rock climbing, hiking, and skiing. Tim was full of life and loved going on adventures with Jess, his family, and friends. He was kind, compassionate, strong, and wise beyond his years. Tim was a graduate of Pomperaug Regional High School and Central Connecticut State University and is survived by his father and mother, Paul and Leslie Hine of Southbury, Connecticut, sister Lisa Hine, sister and brother-in-law Sarah and John Spear, brother-in-law Alex Santopietro, and father and mother-in-law Edmund and Jane Santopietro.
Tim is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Marie Hawes of Redding, his aunts and uncles, Lyle Hawes of West Haven, Richard R. Hine of New Britain, Pam and Kevin Kohn of Newtown, Mary Michals of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and Amy and Scott Spencer of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as well as many cousins. Tim is also survived by many wonderful friends.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 4:00pm at Walnut Hill Community Church 156 Walnut Hill Rd. Bethel, Connecticut. The family requests that donations be made to the Tim Hine Memorial Fund to benefit Tim's and Jess' baby due in November. Donations may be made out to Tim Hine Memorial Fund and mailed to 50 Old Highway, Southbury, CT 06488. Alternatively, donations may be made online at TimHineMemorialFund.weebly.com.
