John is survived by his wife Shirley and their beloved pet Katie Kitty; brother, Pat (Sharon) Allen of Yuma, AZ; sister, Judie (Bob) Brown of Ft. Collins, Co; daughter, Amy and family; friends Sonny and Carol Fowler, Jim Steinbach, Verlan Lee, Jack Storjohann, Jerry Lindsey, Jim Ware, Hank Cooper plus many nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at a later date.

John D. Allen, 77, died Friday, April 5, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff. Cremation has taken place in accordance with John's wishes and a private service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Panhandle Humane Society. Online condolences may be made by visiting Joliffe Funeral Home website. Joliffe Funeral Home of Scottsbluff is assisting the family.
John was born Sept. 18, 1935 to Earnest and Norma (Ramsey) Allen in Los Angeles, Calif. He grew up in Yuma, Ariz. John served his country in the Navy.

Preceding John in death were his parents; sister, Donna Rezzonico; brother-in-law, Dick Rezzonico; and stepson, Grant Easton.
