Minnie Dailey, 91, of Tobyhanna, passed away on Thursday, January 20 at St. Mary's Villa in Moscow. Her husband of 53 years, Grover L. Dailey, died September 22, 1992.

Born in Pocono Pines, she was the daughter of the late William and Emma (Franks) Keiper. She was a member of Tobyhanna United Methodist Church in Tobyhanna.

A devoted wife and mother, she spent her days caring for her family. She will be missed not just by them, but by the many she welcomed to the house she made a home. Her skill as an accomplished baker will be mourned by anyone who ever had a taste of her hospitality in a slice of one of her homemade pies; like everything she touched made with care and filled with love.

She is survived by a son, Glenway "Pete" Dailey of Tobyhanna and his long-time friend, Sophia Swingle; two daughters, Emma Jean Daily of Bethlehem, and Carole Ann Hollowell and her husband, Norman of Suffolk, VA; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. The last remaining sibling, she was preceded by seven sisters, four brothers, and her eldest son, Grover C. Dailey in October 2007.

There will be a viewing on Sunday, January 23 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, Rt 940 in Cresco. The Reverend Thomas Daniel will conduct a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pocono Lake Cemetery.
