Walter Freeman Holland, Jr., 55, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2005 after an extended illness. Mr. Holland was born in Macon, graduated from Willingham High School, attended Georgia Southwestern and Macon State College. He was a lifelong resident of Macon. Mr. Holland was a retired investigator for the Bibb County Sheriff's Office and was a member of the Peace Officer's Annuity Benefit, the Fraternal Order of Police, the Peace Officer's Association of Georgia, the Macon Exchange Club and Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Walter Freeman Holland. Mr. Holland is survived by his wife, Martha Brooks Holland of Macon; children, Shane Holland and his family of Byron, Kelly Frederick and her family of Macon; Kate Holland and Kimberly Holland both of Macon; his mother, Dorothy "Dolly" Morris Holland of Macon; brother, Greg Holland of Macon; sister, Sandra Cumbess of Eatonton.
