She was beautiful, strong, purposeful, passionate, fashionable and determined. Born March 5, 1924 in the Goodman Community of Coffee County near Enterprise, she grew up on a farm during the depression. She walked to school with her sister, Elizabeth. Both of their lunches were in a syrup bucket. She grew up to be a living example of Romans 12:2. Her favorite pieces of fried chicken were the back and neck. I’m sure because she was leaving the rest for her hungry boys. My brother, Hulon, said she could boil the dish rag and it would taste good! She loved all of her family as only a mother can. Her love lives on as an example in all of us.
Mrs. Guentert is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Myron Anderson & Janice, Buddy Anderson & Janice, and Michael Anderson & Holly; daughter & son-in-law, Nicole Rolling & Jeffery; daughters-in-law, Glenda Anderson and Hazel Anderson; and 18 grandchildren & numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Guentert; sons, Hulon Anderson and Tony Anderson; parents, Molly Victoria Smith Bradley & John William Bradley; brothers, George, Rurus, Emitt, Buford, Greeley, Jeff and Eugene Bradley; and sisters, Annie Ruth Flowers, Elizabeth Flowers and Margaret Davis.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm Sunday, May 17, 2020 in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens.
