BURLEY – Janey Lee Kraus, a Burley resident, was 63 when she went to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 14, 2013. Janey passed away in her sleep at her home.

She was born June 7, 1949, in Wendell, Idaho, to Russell and Lilian (Asquith) Brooks. She grew up in Gooding, Idaho, where she attended school and graduated in 1967.

Janey worked as a bank teller for nearly 40 years, until she retired.

She met the love of her life in 1988. She married Gary Kraus in August of 1989, and they spent 23 wonderful years together.

Janey loved to take care of her home, read, ride her bike, and travel with her sister and girlfriends. She was active in the Ebenezer Congregational Church in Paul. Janey loved her children and made sure to support and attend her grandchildren's activities. She also loved to spend time with her great-grandson and be his playmate.

Janey is survived by her husband, Gary Kraus, of Burley; her daughter, Deanna (Ken) Meyer, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her son, Jake (Tawnya) Kraus, of Hazelton; her grandchildren, Trista Kraus, Ashley Kraus and Derek Meyer; her great-grandson, Brayden Kraus; her sister, Linda Stewart, of Eagle, Idaho; her brother-in-law, Jerald (Cathy) Kraus, of Rupert; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

The family wishes to express its thanks to everyone for their love and support during Janey's illness. A special appreciation goes to her good friend, Becky Harman, the ladies group of her church, and all her doctors and nurses. Each of you touched Janey in a special way.

A celebration of Janey's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at the Ebenezer Congregational Church, 129 N. 2nd W. in Paul, with the Rev. Brandon Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the Paul Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 1 until 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the church.
