Giuseppe "Joseph" Francesco Cane

Joseph Francis Cane, of 1509 West 11th Street, died at Eugene duPont Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, June 29, 1966, in Wilmington DE, at the age of 65. He was the husband of the former Antoinette Voce.

Mr Cane was born in Cosenza, Italy, but had lived in Wilmington for the past 46 years. He had been retired for five years after working as a cabinetmaker for numerous contractors.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by his three sons, John of Albuquerque NM, Joseph of Silver Spring MD, and Gene of Newark DE; his eight grandchildren; his two brothers, Luigi and Vincenzo, both of Italy; and his two sisters, Mrs Marietta Naccarato and Sr Raffiella FDCC, both of Italy.

A Solemn Requiem Mass was offered on Saturday, July 2, 1966, at Saint Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 9th and DuPont Streets. Interment followed at Cathedral Cemetery, in Wilmington DE.
