Selma Amelia Parker was the daughter of Don William Parker and Pearl Cumi Driggers. She lived in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana, and San Jacinto County, Texas, where she attended Shepherd schools. She died at the age of 13 from a ruptured appendix.
