FAMILY SEARCH. When Dan Lee Dedrickson was born on 8 July 1934, in Spanish Fork, Utah, Utah, his father, Gilbert Braithwaite Dedrickson, was 35 and his mother, Alberta Larsen, was 35. He married Kathleen Royle on 14 March 1957, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. He lived in Spanish Fork Election Precinct, Utah, Utah in 1940. He died on 27 September 1998, in Cedar City, Iron, Utah at the age of 64 and was buried in Spanish Fork.

OBITUARY. Dan Lee Dedrickson, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed from this life in Cedar City, Utah, after a two year valiant battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. He was 64 years old.

Born July 8, 1934 in Spanish Fork to Gilbert and Alberta Larsen Dedrickson. Married his sweetheart, Kathleen Royle, on March 14, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple. A faithful member of the LDS church he served a mission in California. Dan graduated from BYU and Utah State earning his Bachelors and Masters degrees.

Dan has served faithfully in many church callings including Bishop and President of the San Bernardino, California Stake. Together with his wife, he served a mission to the Michigan Detroit Mission. He taught seminary and institute in the LDS Church Education System for 36 years. Dan had the extraordinary ability to teach and touched many lives with his knowledge of the scriptures and his unwavering testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Many are indebted to him for having "planted their feet on gospel sod."

He is survived by his wife of 41 years. Kathleen; and seven children: Bryan [Brenda], Laura [Neil] Harper, Elaine [Bill] Schoolhouse, Steve [Alexandra], Danna [Dana] Nottingham, Paul [April], Mark [Jill]; and 22 grandchildren; also two brothers, Ray [Lois] and Fred [Jane]; and a sister, Elaine [Gordon] Dyer; and parents-in-law, Homer and Emily Royle. He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandson, Logan Dedrickson.

Funeral Service will be held, Wednesday, September 30th, at 1 p.m. at the Cedar West Hills LDS Chapel located at 1530 West Center in Cedar City. Friends may call at the Southern Utah Mortuary on Tuesday, September 29th, from 6-8 and Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Service will also be held in Spanish Fork on Thursday, October 1st, at the LDS chapel at noon at 850 East Canyon Road with a viewing at 10:30 a.m., prior to service. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork Cemetery. —September 27th, 1998,
