In 1962, he began a new career as a Pringle Ford car salesman, where he was awarded Salesman of the Month many times and he was a member of the 500 Club. In 1976, Mr. Adams Joined the sales force at Dees Chevrolet Company in Biloxi. In 1984, he retired to working in his shed on lawn-mowers and doing some fishing. His life revolved around his family and he is greatly missed, but he left some wonderful memories.
Clyde Ottway Adams, 81, of Biloxi, Mississippi, died Thursday, April 14, 2005 in Biloxi. He was born November 19, 1923 in Cumberland, to Frank and Jesse Walton Adams.Mr. Adams served in the US Army during WWII, in the Pacific, in the Bushmasters Infantry Battalion, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement along the coast of New Guinea during the period of January through September 1944. In 1945, he was assigned to the US Air Force and retrained as an aircraft mechanic.
