Eleanor B. Alton (nee Hahn), age 106, of Hartford, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at the Pavilion at Glacier Valley.

Eleanor was born on August 22, 1908 in Slinger Wisconsin to Christopher and Emma (nee Uber) Hahn. She was united in marriage to Charles Alton on January 22, 1946 at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Hartford.

Eleanor worked for West Bend aluminum, the shoe factory in Hartford, and also for Chrysler outboards in Hartford. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and spending time with her family.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter Sandy (Karl) Lindert of Rubicon; grandchildren Erica (Daniel) Behmke and Kystl (Steve) Held; great-grandchildren Alexandra, Samantha, Maxwell, Geneva, Kellee, and Brady. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Charles; brothers Herbert (Clara), Arthur (Jean), Erwin (Ann) and sisters Hilda (Alfred), Rohlinda (William), Emily (Milton), Irene (Walter), and Bertha (William).

Funeral services for Eleanor will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St Hartford) with Rev. Michael Bausch officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
