Obituary for Ralph Riedel
Ralph H. Riedel loving husband, father, and grandfather of St. Hedwig, Texas passed away on April 15, 2013 at the age of 76. He was born on January 19, 1937 in Guadalupe County, Texas to Bernard Riedel and Helen (Marbach) Riedel. Ralph honorably served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 539. He worked for Friedrich Air Conditioning Company for 45 years. Ralph enjoyed playing music in the Riedel Brothers Band and did so for more than 20 years. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Bernice Keller; brother-in-law, Charlie Keller; sister-in-law, Mildred Riedel. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Etherine Riedel; son, Randy Riedel and wife Debbie; daughters, Rhonda Broll, Roxane Padalecki and husband David; grandchildren, Lisa Broll, Tyler & Alexa Padalecki, Jennifer Miles and husband Chad, and Matthew Helm; brothers, Everett Riedel and wife Josephine, Harold Riedel and wife Evelyn, Elgin Riedel and wife Margaret; sisters, Margaret Reilly and husband Darwin, Rose Jupe and husband Dennis, Patsy Haecker and husband Jock; like a twin brother and his sidekick, Wallace Real and wife Joyce; numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the "Angels" that cared for him for over 3 years at the Frank M. Tejeda TSVH Memory Ward. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig.
