New (Bobbie) Adams, of Dublin,
will bo held at 11 am Friday nt
Dublin Memorial Gardens, with
the Rev Larry Roberts officiating
A native of Laurens County,
Mrs Adams was the daughter of
the late Dr James Ezra and
Maude Brantley New, was the
widow of Arthur Abilene Adams,
and was educated in the Dexter
schools, Brewton-Parker Institute,
Andrew College in Cuthbert, and
received her A.B degree from the
Urmorsity of Georgia She taught
school in Thomaston. worked in
the clerk of the Superior Court's
office and the tax commissioners
office for 20 years, and was a former
member of the Dublin Service
League and a member of First
United Methodist Church She
died early Wednesday morning in
a Dublin hospital after being in declining
health for several years
Survivors include a daughter.
Beverly A Lackey; and a son-in-
Jaw, Larry W Lackey, both of
WSfrner Robins, two brothers, Dr
James S New of Richmond Hill
and Jacob New of Dublin, a grandson,
Robert Warren Lacke of
Warner Robins, and several nieces
and nephews
