HILDEBRANT, Vernon Howard, 90, of Maineville, died Monday February 27, 2012. Born June 13, 1921 in Maineville, OH to Charles O. and Eva (nee: Sears) Hildebrant, he was a 1939 graduate of Kings Mills High School. An active member of the Maineville United Methodist Church, he was also an avid gardener and enjoyed life on his farm. He loved to vacation in Florida and enjoyed summers with his family on Manitoulin Island in Canada every year. An inventor and entrepreneur, he owned and operated Big Four Industries in Maineville, as well as, several businesses in Florida. Preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Willard, Paul, Clifford, and Arch, and two sisters, Catherine Hildebrant and Grace Rozell-Mallott, survivors include his wife of 71 years, Roberta (nee: George) Hildebrant, two sons, Mark (Nancy) Hildebrant of Holland, MI and Robert (Peggi) Hildebrant of Mindemoya, ONT, four daughters, Myrna (Jerry) Sams of Maineville, Marcia Hunter-Elam of Blanchester, Kathy (Don VanOrsdale) Michael of Spring Valley, OH, and Jody (Art) Anderson of Cleveland, GA, eleven grandchildren, Lisa Lagory, Cris Sams, Michael Sams, Erika Hunter-Sedmak, Derek Hunter, Chad Michael, Stephanie Michael, Nick Hildebrant, Amanda Eno, Rebecca Hildebrant, and Anna Katherine Hildebrant, and seventeen great grandchildren. Visitation, Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Funeral service will be on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11 AM at the Maineville United Methodist Church.
