James Kenneth Bright, 81, of 101 Maryland Ave, died April 17, 2013 at his home.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late Robert Nalley Lee and Lelia Duffie Bright, he was retired employee of Nichols Chemicals, a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a member of Northwood Baptist Church.

Surviving is his wife, Joan Evelyn Ross Bright of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Lynne Bright of Greer; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Raymond Hutton of Atlanta, GA; two sisters and brother-in-law, Doris Bright Burrell of Greer and Virginia Bright and Gaston Gilreath of Travelers Rest; three grandchildren, Lindsey Hutton, Jason Bright, Kyle Bright and three great-grandchildren, Ava Bright, Gavin Bright and Jaxson Bright.

Mr. Bright was predeceased by a grandson, Robby Hutton.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memory Gardens conducted by Dr. Robert Miller and Rev. Danny Monroe.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday at the Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home of the son, 435 Crepe Myrtle Drive, Willow Creek Subdivision, Greer, S.C. 29651.
