Funeral services for Charles E. Alter, 66, who died at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Grant County home, will be held at 2 p.m. today at 814 South Adams street with Rev. Carl C. Cole, pastor of Central Christian church, in charge. Burial will be in IOOF cemetery.
Born in Decatur, Mr. Alter had resided in Marion for 60 years. A retired glassblower, Mr. Alter had been in ill health for several years, but his condition became serious only three months ago.
Survivors include a son, Harry, whose address is unknown, and two brothers, William and Grover, Marion.
