FRANK JABBIA
Funeral services for Frank Jabbia, 80, of Powhatan were held Tuesday,
June 8 at 10 a.m. in the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Powhatan
with the Rev. Michael Manase officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Lawn
Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis
Funeral Home.
Mr. Jabbia died at 3:05 p.m. Sunday at his residence. He was a native
and life-long resident of Powhatan He was a retired welding instructor for
the Natchitoches Vo-Tech Institute and a security guard for the Sunbeam
Appliance Co. in Coushatta. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi
Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mamie Leone Jabbia of Powhatan;
one son, Peter J. Jabbia and wife Suzanna Jabbia of Slidell; one daughter,
Josephine Summers and husband, David Summers, of Powhatan; two sisters,
Rosa Leone and Corrine Digilormo, both of Powhatan; three brothers, Joe
Jabbia of Abbeville, Tony Jabbia of Monroe and John Jabbia of Denham
Springs; two grandchildren, Frank J. Jabbia of Slidell and Todd C. Jabbia
of Denham Springs; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Frank J. Jabbia, Todd C. Jabbia, Tony Leone, Sammy
Leone,
Pete Leone and Peter M. Jabbia. Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Wagley,
Wayne Moore, P. J. Digilormo, Pat Mondello, Charles Jabbia and Terry Scott.
