Richard Aldrich
Services for former Marshfield resident Richard Aldrich, 66, who died at 11:39 a.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. Donald F. Wilger, chaplain at St. Joseph's Hospital, will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday and on Tuesday until service time at the Chapel. Burial will be at Hillside Lutheran Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Harold, Lowell Jr., James and David Aldrich, Charles Bubolz and DuWayne Polivka.
He was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Marshfield, to Lowell and Anna (Beltz) Aldrich. He attended City View School in the town of McMillan and Marshfield Senior High School. He never married.
He farmed and did carpenter work in the Marshfield area before entering the U.S. Army, serving from Aug. 21, 1945 to June 1, 1947. After his discharge, he moved to California and was a lineman for Western Union Co.
He returned to Marshfield in 1959 and farmed with his father until retiring because of ill health. For the last three years he resided at the Sunset Nursing Home in Fairchild.
He is survived by four brothers, Harold Aldrich and David Aldrich, both of Marshfield and Lowell Aldrich Jr. and James Aldrich, both of Stratford; four sisters, Mrs. Marion Bubolz of Marshfield, Mrs. Edward (Lorraine) Schwartz of Milwaukee, Mrs. Harold (Lila Mae) Polivka of Stratford and Mrs. Gerald (Marcella) Hoffman of Marathon City; and his stepmother, Mrs. Clara Aldrich of Marshfield.
He was predeceased by his father.
