He was born January 17, 1945 in Anderson, IN to Barbour and Norma J. (Boyd) Carpenter.
He was an engineer for General Motors 30 years before retiring in 1996.
He was a member of Lindberg Road Church of Christ and Elks Lodge # 209.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandmother Estella Boyd.
Graveside service will be on Monday at 11:30 A.M. at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
