MRS GRACE ATHEY SUMMONED BY DEATH

Mrs Grace Athey, aged 70 years, widow of Frank Athey, died at the Washington county Infirmary on Saturday morning following an extended illness. Mrs Athey was the daughter of the late William Kirkbride and Mrs Wealthy Decker Kirkbride. She was born at Archers Fork on March 6, 1860. She came to Marietta when a young woman. She was engaged in this city as a dressmaker and for a number of years lived on Fifth street. She retired from her work seven years ago when her health failed. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. Surviving are four brothers, and two sisters, William Kirkbride and Wesley Kirkbride of Findlay; Elston Kirkbride and Nathan Kirkbride of Newport, Mrs Adaline Duvall of Lucerne, CO, and Mrs Louisa Stein of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held at the Doudna and McClude funeral parlors on Monday at 10am. Interment will be made in Rockland cemetery.
