Clifford J. "Cliff" Babinski was born the son of Konstanty and Mary Anna Rimkus Babinski. He married Patricia J. Duggan on Oct. 5, 1940.

He retired in 1972 from the John Deere Plow Works as an assembler with 33 years of service.

Cliff was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters, Sacred Heart Court 1691. In earlier years, he and his wife, Pat, were very active members of the former Holy Trinity Church, Moline. Cliff enjoyed rolle bolle and dancing. He was a member of the East End Club and Friends Circle Club. He had served as a volunteer pallbearer for many years at DeRoo Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Edith Sosbee and a brother, Albin.

Clifford J. "Cliff" Babinski, 92, a lifelong resident of Moline, died Friday, April 20, 2007, at Pathway Hospice, Trinity at Terrace Park, Bettendorf.

Funeral services will be noon Monday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 12:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation is 1 to 4 p.m. today at DeRoo Funeral Home, where the Catholic Order of Foresters will recite a rosary at 1 p.m. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Church or Alleman High School.

Clifford was born Aug. 27, 1914, in Moline, the son of Konstanty and Mary Anna Rimkus Babinski. He married the former Patricia J. Duggan Oct. 5, 1940.

He was employed at John Deere Plow for 33 years, retiring as an assembler in 1972.
