March 1972: Jones, William Otis, 68 of Mobley Community, Smithfield, WV died Wednesday night at the Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville. He was born in Wetzel County, Oct 9, 1903, the son of Joseph and Mary Ida Criss Jones. He was a Protestant. Surviving are his widow, Martha McKinney Jones, four sons, Francis, John, Joe and Stephen, all at home, four daughters, Mary Jones and Sharon Jones both at home, Mrs. Betty Arnett of Big Run, WV and Mrs. Ethel Pownall of Elyria, Ohio, one sister Mrs. Mae Floyd of Leavittsburg, Ohio and four grand children. Friends received at the Palmer Funeral Home, Pine Grove, after 1 P.M. Friday, where the services will be held Saturday at 2 P.M.
