Viewing will be on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013, with Lee Searcy of New Horizons Foursquare Church officiating.
Audrey was born in West Carrollton, Ohio to William and Helen Shockey on February 2, 1924. She graduated from Sweetwater High School in National City, California. She married Edwin Van Murphy on February 12, 1942, in National City, California. She worked as a Bookkeeper for Murphy's Construction Company.
Her hobby was playing Bridge, and her greatest accomplishment was receiving the Silver Life Master Achievement Award.
Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, sister, husband, son, and great-grandchild.
Audrey is survived by her brother, Frank (Marie) Shockey; daughter, Vana (Ernie) Espinoza; son, Timothy (Jeanice) Murphy; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of the Hospice Staff.
