Hugh B. Fults

COQUILLE -- Graveside services for Hugh B. Fults, 79, Coquille, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Pioneer Cemetery in Coquille, with Pastor Roy Clark of the Church of God officiating.


Mr. Fults was born July 19, 1908, at Prosper, and died Sept. 14 at Coos Bay. He was a member of the Baptist Church and the Jasper Masonic Lodge 21 of Jasper, Ark. He was a resident of Coquille since September 1947, having previously lived in Missouri and Arkansas. He and Macie Clark were married at Boxley, Ark., July 18, 1931, and she preceded him in death May 28, 1987 [sic].


Mr. Fults worked for the Coos Bay Lumber Co. and Georgia-Pacific Corp. from 1947 to his retirement in 1973.


Survivors include sons, Doyle Fults of Coquille, Doy Fults of Arago; sisters, Ruby Speaker of Wilmington, Calif., Buna Dickey of Coquille, Nina Faught of Arago; brothers, Howard Fults of San Pedro, Calif., Ray Fults of Los Angeles, Calif.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
