Ruth and family moved in 1973, to Saint Hedwig, Texas. She participated in construction of her home. When Saint Hedwig incorporated, she was elected to the first Saint Hedwig City Council, and served several terms.
The family relocated into semi-retirement outside La Vernia, Texas in 2002 and to Seguin, Texas in 2008.
She is survived by her husband, Luther A. Schulze; daughter, Stacy E. Dresch among others.
